Exploring Thematic Learning through Catholic Relief Services (CRS): The CRS Learning Commons in Action
Event box
Presenter: Meghan Clark, St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
The CRS Learning Commons offers materials to incorporate applied Catholic Social Justice principles and global voices into a wide variety of courses, from economics and communications to theology and history. Adaptable to faculty needs, it offers online collaborative learning discussions with peers at other universities as well as diverse academic and multimedia resources. This session will explore how this year’s theme of “peace-building” and archived previous sessions can be broadly applied across disciplines, offering a new model for high impact pedagogy and classroom engagement that connects with communities beyond St. John’s.
This workshop will be held in the Library room B3 on the Queens Campus and will be video conferenced to the Campus Center, Faculty Dining on the Staten Island Campus.
