NATURE & PURPOSE OF SERVICE SITE: 

The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children undergoing critical medical treatment in area hospitals.

USD volunteers use RMD House's kitchen facilities to prepare brunch for the families & children staying at the location (approximately 60-70 residents).

LOCATION:

267-07 76th Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY 11040     

TIME:

Tours are scheduled for 9:30am. Brunch preparation may begin at 10:00am and should be served at 12:00 Noon (typically 2 hours of preparation needed). USD volunteers should plan to spend an additional hour greeting residents and cleaning up in the kitchen.

TRANSPORTATION:

Transportation will NOT be provided to this site.
