There exists an urgent need for the timely assessment of psychophysiological states of individuals for stroke and drug rehabilitation tasks (amongst many others). As mobile health (mHealth) monitoring systems and sensors become more readily available, it is now possible to take “health snapshots” linking emotional states to measurable physiological indicators like airflow, galvanic skin response, ECG, EKG, etc.. Analyzing these snapshots longitudinally over time can help us correlate physiological and emotional states on the path to wellbeing for subjects. At St. John's University, with collaboration from the Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation, we have developed a platform that procures and prepares psychophysiological data for analytical tasks using mHealth IoT technology, and Augmented Reality (AR) devices. This talk focuses on the experience of building this platform and the current and future research tasks around it.
