St. John’s seeks to expand virtual internationalization efforts to meet its mission: to provide a global education to all students, including those who may not be able to study abroad. This session will focus on the University’s virtual exchange program, called Global Online Learning Exchange (GOLE), which engages faculty and students in a cross-cultural learning experience with counterparts in other universities around the world. You will hear from colleagues involved in this collaborative learning experience and learn more about resources—including stipends for SJU faculty—offered to participants. We look forward to answering questions about virtual internationalization to better support your efforts to include international/intercultural skills and knowledge into your courses. Please feel free to contact Zoe Petropoulou (petropoz@stjohns.edu) or Gregory Bruhn (bruhng@stjohns.edu) with any questions.
