The Faculty Writing Retreat offers you the opportunity to commit to a day of writing surrounded by your faculty colleagues who will have made the same commitment. Published research – and our own experience from previous writing retreats – tells us that the positive energy of being around faculty peers who are also writing (and struggling to write) helps faculty to get a substantial amount of work done, even in one day.

The writing retreat is a Faculty Writing Initiative that is co-sponsored by the Center for Faculty Success and Development, Writing Across Communities and Campus Ministry. Regarding the schedule for the retreat; writing begins as soon as you arrive. Attendees gather for lunch (lunch will be served) and discussion at 12:30 pm, during which time they share their advice and challenges about writing. We hope you will be able to join us.
