Please join us for an informational session on high-impact practices (HIPs). Learn how you can effectively incorporate HIPs into your courses—or refine the HIPs you're already using to encourage greater student engagement. Research shows experiences with  high-impact practices can improve student persistence and GPA, encourage deeper learning, and foster stronger faculty-student interactions. HIPs pedagogies emphasize student critical thinking and writing skills, and cultivate opportunities for collaboration across diverse perspectives. Additionally, HIPs offer valuable opportunities for underserved students to bridge gaps in their college preparation. The session will be led by several faculty members from across the colleges who have successfully integrated HIPs into their teaching, providing attendees with their knowledge and expertise on how to further advance HIPs work being done in their own classrooms.
