Founder's Week 2025: "Mission Research" Faculty Lunch (Queens Campus)

As we celebrate Founder's Week 2025, join us for a personal and inspiring reflection by Jenny Yang, Ed.D., Assistant Professor of Administrative and Instructional Leadership in The School of Education at St. John's University. Dr. Yang is the 2024 recipient of the Richard and Camille Sinatra Endowment Grant ($2,500) that supports community-based outcomes research for full-time, tenure-track faculty at St. John's.
Dr. Yang has over a decade of experience in collaborating with high-need schools to create STEM enrichment programs for culturally and linguistically diverse students. Dr. Yang is the Co-Principal Investigator of Project WINGS, a federally funded grant project between St. John’s University and the National Center for Research on Gifted Education to create an accelerated math program for high-ability English Learners in New York, Texas and California.
Following Dr. Yang's presentation, St. John's faculty members will be recognized for their commitment to research in the areas of poverty and social justice, including:
- 2025 - 2026 Richard and Camille Sinatra Endowment Grant Award ($2,500)
- Fall 2024 - Spring 2026 Faculty Research Consortium Fellows
- 2024 - 2025 Ozanam Scholars Faculty Mentor Award
- 2025 - 2026 Newly appointed Vincentian Research Fellows
