St. John's volunteers assist the travelers with special needs as they navigate through JFK Airport on their return from France. Join in greeting them once they pass through Immigration and Customs and transporting them (in wheelchairs) to their connecting flights home.
SERVICE HOURS NEEDED:
11:30am - 4:30pm
Once registered for this service project, St. John's volunteers will receive additional details regarding (optional) transportation between JFK airport and the St. John's Queens Campus. Please note that the time allotted (11:30am - 4:30pm) includes travel to/from the airport.
As explained by Kathleen Mary McGinn, Special Needs Pilgrimage Manager:
"The assignment is short-lived but so important...It is the cheerful faces of the volunteers that help to calm the anxiety of the pilgrims."
