High-Impact Practices: Global Opportunities for SJU Faculty
Event box
St. John’s seeks to expand internationalization efforts in line with its mission to provide a global education to all students. Global programming is a high-impact practice, supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the vision of making international and cross-cultural experiences accessible to all students. This session will focus on various faculty opportunities to develop and deliver highly impactful global experiences to our undergraduate and graduate students, whether out in the world, or from the relative comfort of the Queens campus.
Faculty will have an opportunity to learn about a few different versions of mobility programs: the Global Passport program for first-year undergraduate students at our campuses in Europe, and other short-term faculty-directed programs designed for undergraduate and graduate students anywhere in the world.
Recognizing that not all students will be able to participate in more traditional study abroad programs, we will also cover the Global Online Learning Exchange (GOLE), the University’s virtual exchange program, which engages undergraduate and graduate faculty and students in a cross-cultural learning experience with counterparts at other universities around the world.
The meeting link will be sent to registrants prior to the event, so please look for an email from CFSD@stjohns.edu.
