Grant Writing Overview Session

Presenter: Christina Costello, Director, Office of Grants & Sponsored Research
CFSD and OGSR are happy to announce the first Grant-Writing Series to take place across the 2025-2026 year.
This cohort-based program will bring faculty together 4–5 times over the year for luncheon workshops designed to support the development and completion of a specific grant proposal. Each meeting will be structured with the first half focused on a targeted grant-writing topic and the second half dedicated to hands-on work on your grant application, with OGSR staff available for individualized guidance and questions.
Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, December 4th during Common Hour and will serve as a Grant Writing Overview Session. This session will provide a broad introduction to the series and help prospective participants determine whether the workshop is the right fit for their goals before committing to the full cohort.
If after attending the opening session you are interested in participating in the series, please submit a brief statement of interest along with the name of the grant you intend to work on to cfsd@stjohns.edu by December 19th.
Subsequent meetings will take place in February, March, April and May during the Wednesday lunch hour (lunch will be provided). Once participation is confirmed, calendar invites for each meeting will be sent to reserve the time as well.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Thank you in advance for your interest in this new program!
