USD 2018: Peanut Butter Gang and Hospitality Too Soup Kitchen (Brentwood, Suffolk)

NATURE & PURPOSE OF SERVICE SITE:    

The Peanut Butter Gang and Hospitality Too works weekly with the St. Anne’s Church to make approximately 1,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and serve hot meals to over 200 underprivileged patrons.

USD volunteers will assist with the sandwich making; other responsibilities may include organizing, sorting and distributing pantry goods, clothing, and bread (donated from local supermarkets).

LOCATION (round-trip transportation provided from the Queens Campus):

St. Anne's Church
88 Second Avenue, Brentwood, NY 11717

TIME:

USD volunteers will meet at St. Thomas More Church on the Queens Campus at 7:00am, and will return to campus by 1:30pm. Transportation will be provided to/from St. Anne's church in Brentwood. If you are driving on your own, please arrive at St. Anne's Church no later than 8:00am.
