USD 2018: Brooklyn Bridge Park Green Cleanup (Brooklyn)

NATURE & PURPOSE OF SERVICE SITE:

Brooklyn Bridge Park is an 85-acre post-industrial waterfront site stretching 1.3 miles along Brooklyn’s East River edge. Volunteers play an important role in Brooklyn Bridge Park’s horticulture, education, and public programs, along with regularly maintaining and enhancing the park’s landscapes.

USD volunteers will assist with gardening and park maintenance as part of Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy's​ ​Green Team.

PLEASE NOTE: Signed release forms are required. For your safety, please wear closed-toe shoes.

 

LOCATION (round-trip transportation provided from the Queens Campus):

Brooklyn Bridge Park
14 Cadman Plaza W, Brooklyn, NY 11201

Green Team meets at Pier 1 entrance (Intersection of Old Fulton & Furman Streets)

 

TIME (roundtrip transportation to/from the Queens campus):

USD volunteers will meet at St. Thomas More Church on the Queens Campus at 8:30am, and will return to campus by 1:30pm. If you are traveling on your own, please arrive at Pier 1 entrance no later than 10:00am.
