NATURE & PURPOSE OF SERVICE SITE: 

GallopNYC brings the proven benefits of therapeutic horsemanship to children and adults with disabilities in NYC. Through weekly riding sessions with PATH-certified instructors, we help riders walk, talk, connect, focus, behave, and learn, encouraging each one to live life as fully, productively, and independently as possible.

USD volunteers will assist with horsemanship classes to support riders through side walking, site maintenance and basic horse care.  Please bring sunscreen, a hat and a refillable water bottle.

Located off of Forest Park in Forest Hills, NY.  Accessible by car and public transportation.

TIME (Roundtrip transportation to/from the Queens campus):

USD volunteers should meet by St. Thomas More Church at 1:00, and expect to return to campus by 4:30pm. If you are traveling on your own, please meet at the service site no later than 1:30pm.
