NATURE & PURPOSE OF SERVICE SITE:       

Using skill, compassion and advanced technology, Flushing Hospital Medical Center Department of Pediatrics provides care for acute and chronic illnesses to infants, children and young adults. Offering a comprehensive range of services, it is fully staffed by pediatricians specializing in primary care, adolescent medicine and a broad range of pediatric subspecialties.

USD volunteers read and/or do crafts with the patients on the Pediatric Unit. Because of the health and safety of the children, please do NOT volunteer if you have any symptoms of a viral infection or a cold.

LOCATION (Transportation will not be provided):

4500 Parsons Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11355

TIME (Transportation NOT provided):

USD volunteers should arrive at the service site NO LATER THAN 10:00am (public transportation usually takes about 30 minutes from the Queens campus). The service project will be completed by 1:00pm.
