1. H5P: Creating Interactive Content - DAC 408
   Joseph Trainor and Cynthia Phillips, The Peter J. Tobin College of Business
   H5P is a free and open-source content collaboration framework which aims to make it easy for everyone to create, share, and reuse interactive Internet content. H5P is being used on more than 17,000 websites and integrates seamlessly with Blackboard. Using H5P, faculty are able to easily create interactive materials to engage students in both traditional and online courses. We will highlight some of the features of H5P, demonstrate H5P integrated into Blackboard, and discuss potential application for this technology in your courses.
    
2. Using Gamification in Your Course (Panel Discussion) - DAC 406

   Gamification uses proven techniques from game design to satisfy your students and engage them with your content.
   There are numerous ways to bring games and game-playing into the classroom to promote learning and deepen student understanding. Join our panel of faculty that will share their experiences and answer their questions.
    
3. Creating Portfolio Assignments - DAC 409

   Some students are not good test-takers and portfolios offer them an alternative to demonstrate mastery of content. The Blackboard Portfolio is designed to help students maintain documentation of their education, samples of their work, and evidence of their skills, to tell a carefully crafted story about who they are and what they can do.  This discussion will focus on using portfolio assignments to improve the student's work.

   As faculty, we are always thinking how to make course materials effective for learning, and as a University, we want to break down "barriers to information" that every student needs for success.  This discussion focuses on some easy-to-learn tips for optimizing ADA-accessibility in our widely-used digital platforms, that make course related information easier to find and use.
