Screencast Your Way to Better Learning

A screencast is a recording from your computer screen that allows you to capture the actions on the screen while you narrate.  Screencasts elevate learning by promoting engagement with you and your course content.  This workshop will demonstrate how incorporating screencasts in a course can increase instructor presence and help students engage with you and their classmates.

Topics will include:

  • defining screencasting
  • incorporating screencasts into your teaching
  • incorporating student created screencast assignments
  • screencasting tools
  • how to get started creating screencasts.
