USD 2018: Event Setup on 9/21/18 (Queens Campus)

NATURE AND PURPOSE OF SITE:

Each year, St. John's University celebrates University Service Day as part of Founder's Week. On this day, St. John's students, employees and alumni join together to serve our communities locally, nationally and globally... by serving the hungry in soup kitchens, visiting residents at nursing homes, engaging in fun activities with disadvantaged children, cleaning and landscaping area parks, painting rooms in nearby schools and community centers, and providing assistance with so many other important projects. Working together in generosity and love as a Vincentian Family, we show exactly "what a difference a day makes!"

USD volunteers will assist USD staff with event preparations for Friday night's service projects and Saturday morning's Opening Ceremony.

3:00-7:00pm

LOCATION:

Volunteers will meet at 3:00pm in the Daly Conference room in St. Thomas More Church. Please wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to move boxes of donated clothing & toiletries. You will also be asked to assist with various tasks in preparation for Saturday's event.
