The session will cover the import of proper citation within the world of formal and informal research. We will cover the role of citation in scholarly research and identify forms of plagiarism and cultural dimensions for understanding plagiarism. The workshop also offers an overview of how to incorporate citations from various information sources, and how to include citation information into various new media research, in an effort to help researchers avoid unintentional plagiarism.  Bring sample materials you need to cite for your paper or project.
